Nuestra historia
It started at a green table.Todo empezó en una mesa verde.
A group of theatre friends, a lot of ideas, and no one else's permission.
Un grupo de amigos de teatro, muchas ideas y sin pedirle permiso a nadie.

Outside Mayan Hall, Southwestern. Where the lines got run, the jokes got tested and Chimoxos got started.

A bunch of theatre kids kept ending up at the same green table, running lines, roasting each other and dreaming up shows nobody had asked us to make yet.
Un grupo de teatreros siempre terminábamos en la misma mesa verde, repasando líneas, echándonos carrilla y soñando con obras que nadie nos había pedido todavía.
Years later we’re still those friends, with more skills and a lot less patience for waiting. Chimoxos is how we take charge of our own productions. We pick the stories, we make the calls, and we make them together.
Años después seguimos siendo esos amigos, con más experiencia y mucha menos paciencia para esperar. Chimoxos es cómo tomamos el control de nuestras propias producciones. Escogemos las historias, tomamos las decisiones y lo hacemos juntos.
We’re all from the South Bay of San Diego, and that’s who we make this for: Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, San Ysidro, Otay and every family party in between. The border, the freeway, the taquería on the corner all end up in our stories.
Todos somos del South Bay de San Diego, y para ellos hacemos esto: Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, San Ysidro, Otay y cada fiesta familiar de en medio. La frontera, el freeway y la taquería de la esquina terminan en nuestras historias.
Every one of us is bilingual, so our work is too. Some scenes are in English, some en español, and plenty switch mid-sentence, just like home.
Todos somos bilingües, y nuestro trabajo también. Unas escenas en inglés, otras en español y muchas cambian a media frase, como en casa.
